Phenomenal Viborg Tests the MUCO Platform in Real-World Settings
From October 2025 to May 2026, Phenomenal Viborg (PhV) and The Animation Workshop are collaborating with the Natural History Museum in Aarhus to test the MUCO platform in museum contexts.
Preliminary status as of New Year 2025/26:
The MUCO solution is functioning flawlessly, and thousands of visitors have already experienced PhV projects.
The photo shows audience reactions to Phenomenal Viborg’s exhibition IMAGINE THIS, presented at the Natural History Museum in Aarhus during weeks 42–48.
At the “I Love Science” event in Brussels, 10–12 October 2025, MUCO solutions were tested over a weekend with a large audience. More than 1,100 people experienced a VR visit to an Icelandic volcanic cave enhanced with animation.
Use in Learning Communities
A PhD study is currently underway at the School of Dentistry, assessing the PhV project Stay Sterile. Within the MUCO solution, students work in groups to evaluate the educational value of Stay Sterile. The project is based on the necessity of collaboration between two to three people during the preparation and unpacking of sterile instruments prior to surgery.
Preliminary Conclusions
- MUCO is a robust and economically sustainable platform compared to previous single-user VR experiences.
- The platform is suitable for a wide range of applications where multiple participants need to move freely within one or more projects.
- Stay Sterile is well suited for further development for international educational use.
